Pops Concert

Illinois Valley native Sara Ptak, soprano, will join the IVSO in a celebration of music by American composers.

Bernstein, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Sousa, and John Williams are some of the composers featured in the program.

Handel’s Messiah

Illinois Valley Community College Cultural Center


IVCC Collegiate Chorale and the La Salle-Peru High School Concert Choir will join the orchestra to perform Handel’s Messiah.

Additional music will include holiday favorites.

Peter and the Wolf

Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf  will be narrated by Norm Engstrom. Winners of the 2011 Young Performers Competition will be the featured soloists.

Cory Tiffin, principal clarinet player of the Green Bay Symphony, WI, returns to his alma mater to perform Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto.
