From Rags to Riches
A history of jazz from cakewalks to fusion, including “Golliwog’s Cakewalk,” Joplin’s “Maple Leaf Rag,” “Alexander’s Ragtime Band,” two selections by Peru, Illinois, native Zez Confrey, music by Rachmaninoff, Gershwin, Chuck Mangione, and more. Featured soloists will be Shawn Weber McMahon, soprano, and Mary Schallhorn, piano.
